K’uuna Llnagaay. Skedans Village.
K’uuna in English means Village at the Edge.
Skedans had between 26-30 houses based on explorers approximations and physical evidence collected at the village sight.
There were approximately 56 pieces of monumental structure recorded at the village site.
These pieces included mortuary figures and poles, frontal poles and memorial poles.
This pole fragment is from the top section of a house frontal pole stood in front of Peaceful House in Skedans until 1968. This pole depicts a version of the Haida flood story.
